5-G wireless service has come to another town along the Aleutian Chain. People in the town of Akutan can now enjoy the 5G wireless service. KUCB reports community members will have access to a fast mobile connection in addition to residential and satellite connections. The new 5-G service is part of what’s called the GCI Aleutians Fiber Project.

The Iditarod is hoping to sell a lot more raffle tickets to help pay for the 2025 sled dog race. If the remaining tickets are not sold the race expects to be about $100,000 short in its budget.

The Dimond Park Field House in Juneau will be open for modified evening and weekend track hours beginning Tuesday. The Field House plans to expand winter evening and weekend track hours in October. You can see the field house schedule on the City and Borough of Juneau’s Facebook page.
