Grande recently shared an Instagram Stories video of herself riding in the backseat of a car and overhearing a fan listening to her song “Imagine,” before chatting with the stunned driver and even briefly singing along.
“What’s your name? Edwin, nice to meet you,” said the Wicked star in the clip, which has been shared to social media since its expiration. “I was like, ‘How is this real? Is that me?’ This made my day!”
“Oh my god, I adore you,” replied the fan, who expressed, “I can’t believe… I’m this close to you!”
Captioning the Instagram Stories video, Grande said she “made a friend” during the car ride, writing, “i couldn’t believe my ears !!!!!!”
“it was blasting. thank you edwin for making my day. im still crying,” she added.
