Atlanta Falcons General Manager Terry Fontenot met with the media for a season-ending press conference and one of the more-heavily discussed topics was the future of QB Kirk Cousins and if he’ll still be with the Falcons next season as a backup.
Falcons GM Terry Fontenot made it very clear that Kirk Cousins could still be with the Falcons next season. “We’re very comfortable moving forward with him as a backup,” but also made it clear that a trade is possible if it works for everyone, “we’ll take those things as they come,” said Fontenot, “everyone would have to be good with it, his camp.”
One thing is clear, Kirk Cousins will not be the starting QB for the Falcons in the second year of a guaranteed $100 Million, that certainly will be Michael Penix, but what remains to be seen is if Cousins is in Atlanta at all. It …
