AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating a double homicide in southeast Austin Monday morning.
One man and one woman were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 1800 Burton Drive, which is between E. Oltorf Street and E. Riverside Drive, APD Public Information Officer Jose Mendez said at a press conference Monday.

Police said APD received an initial call about the incident around 7:30 a.m. Monday. The man and woman were found inside of a vehicle.
The victims were identified by APD Tuesday as Francis Kaina Anseume Corredor, 27, and Bryan Florentino Flores Alvarez, 19.
Police said the suspect in the double homicide is believed to be connected with an Amber Alert issued out of Austin Monday afternoon. Corredor had three children who were originally unaccounted for. The children, ages 10, 4 and 2, were found safe Monday evening, APD said.
