For the first time ever, Macquarie University will host the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) Conference, ANZMAC 2025. With more than 500 active individuals and 39 active institutional members, the academy has been a cornerstone in fostering collaboration and innovation within the realms of academia and the marketing industry across Australia and Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Hosted by Macquarie Business School’s Department of Marketing, ANZMAC 2025 will bring together 500-600 thought leaders, academics and industry professionals from across the globe to discuss the latest research, trends and innovations in the marketing discipline. Join this international conference for an exciting lineup of keynotes, panel discussions, research presentations and networking opportunities. Whether you are an aspiring or seasoned academic or professional, ANZMAC 2025 promises to be an inspiring and insightful experience.
Aligned with Macquarie Business School’s focus on world-leading research to solve society’s biggest challenges and its priority to engage, exchange knowledge and produce applied and impactful research, the Sydney-inspired theme of this year’s conference is “Riding the Waves: Navigating Marketing’s Dynamic Landscape”. ANZMAC 2025 focuses on the power of marketing to make a meaningful contribution to a rapidly changing world. Marketing researchers and scholars have a significant role to play by contributing to theory and practice through rigorous and relevant research with actionable implications for industries, organisations, governments, and consumers. We encourage researchers and scholars to join in this ongoing discussion through scholarly research that is relevant and rigorous with actionable implications. We invite the marketing community to reflect on the power of marketing and to re-think the role of marketing in our ever-changing world. Potential questions include (but are not limited to):
• How can marketing contribute to the future of organisations/businesses and the broader society?
• What is the role that marketing will play in the future with major changes in technological (e.g., AI, AR, VR, robotics, 3D printing, quantum computing), competitive (e.g., disruptions and challenges from unexpected competition and innovative business models), regulatory (e.g., policy-makers legislating sustainability and cyber-security requirements) and customer (e.g., customers demanding companies take a stance on sociopolitical issues) environments?
• With the role of the CMO having changed more dramatically than any other C-suite role, can marketing regain its seat at the table that is often dominated by other functions?
