Another Peoria city councilperson throws hat into ring for Peoria mayorship [Video]

PEORIA (25News Now) – A second person on Peoria’s City Council is vying to become the next mayor.

2nd District Councilperson Chuck Grayeb made the announcement Tuesday, saying the River City cannot continue on its current trajectory.

“Citizens should be able to live their lives, free of fear, in ALL of our neighborhoods, from our Downtown to our northern prairie land,” he said. “Our future can be bright. But a change must happen!”

Grayeb joins fellow councilperson John Kelly along with current Peoria Mayor Rita Ali.
