Another Interstate 229 Lane Closure in Effect in Sioux Falls [Video]

The latest lane closure in an ongoing bridge replacement project on Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls is now in effect

The South Dakota Department of Transportation says the outside, southbound lane at Cliff Avenue, between the I-229 (exit 4) southbound on-ramp and northbound off-ramp will be closed while crews install a retaining wall for a temporary bridge.

The lane is expected to be reopened, Friday, August 23

This work is part of a larger project that will modify the median crossovers on Cliff Avenue in preparation for an interchange reconstruction project.

The $5.6 million project is scheduled to be completed in December.
