Anne O’Leary lays out the key elements of her tenure at Ibec President’s Dinner [Video]

The Ibec President’s Dinner, the lobbying group’s most prestigious networking event, returned to the RDS on Thursday evening with Taoiseach Simon Harris giving the keynote speech.

The event marks the annual handover of the Ibec Presidency, with Paul Duffy departing his role to make way for head of Meta Ireland Anne O’Leary.

Over 750 senior industry leaders representing organisations across key sectors of the Irish economy attended the dinner, which was held in association with McCann FitzGerald and Spencer Stuart.

Addressing those gathered, O’Leary began by thanking outgoing President Duffy for his “work and dedication as Ibec President over the past 12 months.”

She also took the opportunity to congratulate AIB’s Colin Hunt on his new role as Deputy President of Ibec.

Turning her attention to the business community, O’Leary said “Ireland stands on the cusp of an exceptional opportunity.”
