Anchorage police have provided an update on a shocking and rare act of random violence that occurred last month along the University Medical District Trail System. The shooting on November 24 left four victims impacted. Now, police have made a breakthrough in the case.

On December 14, Anchorage police responded to a disturbance near the University Lake Trail System in East Anchorage. There, they encountered Alex Manley, who had a rifle and ammunition matching evidence from the November 24th shooting.
