Anchorage man indicted on attempted murder charges in University Lake shooting [Video]

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – On Monday, an Anchorage grand jury indicted 21-year-old Alex Manley on 17 felony counts for the shooting that took place near the University Area on Nov. 25 in addition to a separate situation on Dec. 14.

According to the Department of Law, the December situation was between Manley and Anchorage Police officers.

The 17 counts include: four counts of Attempted Murder in the First Degree, three counts of Assault in the First Degree, two counts of Assault in the Second Degree, and eight counts of Assault in the Third Degree, according to a press release from the Anchorage District Attorney’s Office.

Manley is expected to be arraigned in Anchorage Superior Court on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Alaska’s News Source has attempted to contact Manley’s defense attorney but has not yet heard back at the time of publishing.
