ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Anchorage Chrysler Center Inc. has agreed to refund some customers as part of a settlement reached Thursday, according to the Alaska Dept. of Law. The refunds are for document fees charged to customers not included in online advertising.
Court documents show that the settlement between the State of Alaska and Anchorage Chrysler Center Inc. requires the company to distribute refunds to consumers who paid more than the online advertised price between March 10, 2022 to Feb. 9, 2024 within 260 days of the settlement’s approval.
According to the Alaska Dept. of Law, Anchorage Chrysler Center said the dealer fees failed to be included in the advertised price due to a third-party website manager error. Alaska law states all dealer fees must be included in the advertised price for a vehicle.
