FENTON, Mo. — Cally Campbell, an 8-year-old from Fenton, Missouri, was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive bone cancer: osteosarcoma. Her family started a GoFundMe page back in May seeking the community’s help with medical bills and the response exceeded their expectations.
Cally’s 3rd-grade friends responded with a lemonade/bracelet stand. The children took the money they earned and gave it to the Campbell family.
“They are not only friends. …They are so close to almost being family. She has gone through so much in the past three months, I mean not only with chemotherapy but with surgery and it’s still gonna be a long road for recovery,” organizer Stacey Daly said.
