Amazonia VFW grand re-opening after almost closing their doors for good
(AMAZONIA, Mo.) KQ2 visits Amazonia to check out the VFW grand re-opening.
The VFW post 12053 was closed for remodeling and a management change and held their grand re-opening party over the weekend.
“We almost closed the doors for good, so we all came together and pushed to get them back open. but it took a lot of volunteer and a lot of donations, and being up here in a small little town, it’s hard,” VFW manager, Christy Anderson explains.
Community members came out to show their support for the local nonprofit organization that serves veterans, the military and the community.
