ALCS expresses gratitude to community after Culvers fundraiser [Video]

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Abundant Life Christian School and the community reacted Tuesday to a Culver’s statewide fundraiser on Monday which involved love, support and butter burgers.

Wisconsinites waited in long lines to help raise money for the school’s emergency and recovery fund three weeks after the deadly school shooting. Abundant Life’s Director of Advancement Barbara Wiers says she is thankful.

“There were angels throughout the state of Wisconsin in their vehicles and coming in out of the cold to say, ‘I’d like a butter burger, or I’ll take a shake,’” Wiers said.

Wiers added it was a gift to watch Monday night unfold.

“Culver’s brought the community together in a way to not just rally and support ALCS, which we’re so grateful for, but they also brought us back to being neighbors, helping neighbors,” Wiers said.
