Alaska Entrepreneurship Week is in full swing, celebrating ten years of supporting small business owners.
The week kicked off with an Alaskan native entrepreneurship panel at the Alaska Heritage Center.
The free event highlighted some resources available to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses.
“Because we have a bit of an isolated economy, we really need to create the business. To have the communities that we want supporting events like this is a good way to support that,” said Jon Bittner, executive director of the Alaska Small Business Development Center.
After the panel, small business owners had the chance to connect with some other seasoned entrepreneurs.
Alaska Entrepreneurship Week continues through Friday, October 11. If you don’t think you can make it in person, there are some virtual events on the agenda too.
