The Anchorage School District needs your help to get students ready for the start of school.
The Alaska Club is accepting donations for ASD’s HUGGS program. That’s short for Helping Us Give School Supplies.
In the lobby of the Alaska Club East and South, donation bins are all set up just in time for family day at the club.
“We’re Health Club, but we are community-based first before anything else, and being able to help families in need get the supplies they need is very dear to our hearts here,” said Ben Griffith with the Alaska Club East.
Donations will be given to kids in need at a back-to-school event planned for August 2 at Betteye Davis East High School in Anchorage.
