What began as predictive AI, looking at past patterns and forecasting what might happen next was soon followed by generative AI – creative intelligence that uses machine learning models to produce content. Everything from images and poems to videos and songs – and, yes, even viral cat memes.

Entertainment aside, top brands are tapping into these tools to sharpen their marketing capabilities. Brands – the parent company of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut – reported that AI-driven marketing pilots are boosting sales and improving customer retention.
