PASSENGERS flying from the US with Aer Lingus will now have a quicker and easier airport journey.
The Irish airline have announced that all passengers coming from America with them will get to go through a quicker security screening.
The airline has been approved for participation in the TSA PreCheck programme, run by the US Transportation Security Administration.
TSA PreCheck is an “expedited security screening experience for US citizens and eligible customers departing from airports within the United States”.
Aer Lingus says it “uses an intelligence-driven approach to allow low-risk ‘trusted travelers’ to advance through security checks more efficiently”.
This will mean that approved passengers can avoid the usual security requirements – like taking off their shoes, belts, and removing laptops from their carry-on bags.
