Advocacy group prepares for possible legal challenges against new Trump administration [Video]

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Dozens of organizations have come together to launch a new project called Democracy 2025, in preparation for potential legal action against the new Trump administration.

“What we’ve seen in the last few weeks is that they made a series of announcements that are quite threatening to many communities across the country, and we want to make sure that people and communities have legal representation,” said Skye Perryman, President and CEO of Democracy Forward, a left-leaning legal and advocacy group that is leading the project.

The coalition is made up of about 280 legal, expert and advocacy groups and was formed to respond quickly with legal efforts to President-elect Trump’s actions if they violate the law or infringe on rights.
