SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Aberdeen Development Corporation announced two significant additions to the Hub City’s economic base and one business expansion at a press conference on Friday.

The agreement for a major company to set up operations in Aberdeen went surprisingly well.

The deal came together quickly, and that is attributable to the fine work done by the Aberdeen Development Corporation, including city, county, and even state officials.

Mike Bockorny, former CEO of the Aberdeen Development Corporation, before he moved on to a state-wide post, was instrumental in getting the company to locate in Aberdeen.

“It is my honor to formally announce, even though it’s become like the worst kept secret ever, that Smacked Pet Foods will be joining our community and opening a facility in the west industrial park,” Mike said.
