LEXINGTON, N.C. — This morning a Triad roofing company is re-doing the roof of a veteran’s home in Lexington.
U.S. Army Veteran Carroll Dornhecker was selected to receive the home improvement project. He told WFMY News 2 a new roof provides a renewed sense of security.
“I’m really just appreciative of everything their going to do for me and my family. Hard times come for a lot of people and some can’t get out of a situation,” Dornhecker shared.
He is a part of over 625 service members selected to get a new roof through the The Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project. Our team spoke to Skywalker Roofing who is installing the roof.
