Welcome to the World Eskimo-Indian Olympics, otherwise known as WEIO! First established in 1961, this annual event in Fairbanks, Alaska, is where Indigenous athletes come together to compete in traditional survival games that puts one’s agility, strength and endurance to the test.
In addition to the games, the multi-day event features dancing, singing, a Miss WEIO competition and games where the audience can join in on the fun!
