A Bixby animal rescue receives New Year’s Day miracle donation | News [Video]

BIXBY, Okla. — A local animal rescue that was in critical need of donations has met their need with a historic donation. 

Puppy Haven Rescue in Bixby said they received over $19,000 this week to keep their rescue operating and save even more dogs Wednesday morning. 

Originally, Puppy Haven said they were short of their end of the year goal, and they desperately needed support. 

That’s when the community rallied around them and made it possible for them to spend their New Year’s Eve rescuing even more puppies all the way into New Year’s Day. 

“There’s a lot of dogs cycling through rescues right now. Everyone needs help,” said Diana Dacyczyn with Puppy Haven rescue. “We always need fosters, every rescue does.” 

Just days before the new year, Puppy Haven realized they were $15,000 short of their end of year goal.
