Betsul’s Brazilian identity is its biggest advantage in the newly regulated gambling market, the company’s CEO Fernando Garita explains in the iGB@ICE studio.

Leading Betsul since 2023, Garita has tackled the challenge of understanding Brazil’s diverse regional cultures while preparing for regulation.

Having been handed a provisional betting licence on 1 January, Garita believes Betsul’s Brazilian roots could give the company an edge over international competitors, even with their sizeable marketing budgets.

“The biggest advantage we have is we are locals and we are everywhere. Technically, Betsul is a company [that’s] 99.9% Brazilian,” Garita tells host Katie Goldfinch. “The customer will feel at home with us.

“The first six months will be a huge war or competition of marketing. The big guys will be putting everything on the table trying to chase new customers.”
