Little Rock group hosts fair to promote National School Choice Week [Video]

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A school choice fair took place Saturday at the Statehouse Convention Center in Downtown Little Rock.

The fair was held to kick off National School Choice Week, which begins Sunday. The event was hosted by the Reform Alliance, an Arkansas-based nonprofit.

“We want to ensure that every child has a world-class education,” Emmy Henley, the group’s Managing Director, said. “That’s our whole mission. We want to let parents know what’s available, what’s out there, and what they can do for their child if they’re not getting their needs met.”

Henley helped put on Saturday’s event, which was the 10th event the Alliance has hosted. The fair had 75 different vendors including traditional schools as well as online options, tutoring services and more.
