New Nintendo Switch 2 game sequel in development hell claims rumour [Video]

A follow-up to a beloved Nintendo Switch game has been subject to internal delays according to a new rumour, but there’s still hope for it on Switch 2.

The future of Bayonetta and NeiR:Automata developer PlatinumGames has been a concern for fans for a long time now, especially following a string of staff exits.

Things started to look particularly bad following the departure of co-founder Hideki Kamiya, who has set up a new studio with some of his former Platinum colleagues. Others have left the studio as well, including Bayonetta Origins director Abebe Tinari who has joined Housemarque.

Thankfully though there have been some recent signs of life, with promised Bayonetta anniversary celebrations and the annoucement of Ninja Gaiden 4, but a new rumour claims the developer has also been working on a sequel to Astral Chain, but that it has been subject to ‘significant delays’.
