A 56-year-old woman= was pronounced dead at the hospital after the crash shortly after midnight on Wednesday. A passenger in her vehicle suffered minor injuries.
MONROE COUNTY, Mich. — One person was killed and another was injured in a three-vehicle crash just after midnight on Wednesday on I-75 in Monroe County.
According to a press release from the Monroe Post for Michigan State Police, a 56-year-old woman from Detroit was driving a hatchback south on the interstate in Erie Township when she lost control of her vehicle and rear-ended a semi truck in the center lane.
She then hit a minivan in the left lane before hitting the center median wall.
The woman, who is not identified in the press release, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A 43-year-old passenger in her vehicle, also from Detroit, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
