One bill would deport undocumented people convicted of sexual violence or domestic violence.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) introduced two bills on Tuesday aimed at illegal immigration, according to a press release from her office.
One bill would deport undocumented people convicted of sexual violence or domestic violence and the other would allow border states to put up temporary barriers on federal land to “protect their communities, respectively.”
The bills are entitled the ‘Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act’ and the ‘Creating Obstructions Necessary to Address Illegal and Nefarious Entry Rapidly (CONTAINER) Act.’
According to the Senator, the ‘Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act’ would make people who admit to or are convicted of sexual violence or domestic violence ineligible to enter the United States.
