Iowa State falls, overtaken by Duke

Just a week ago, the Cyclones secured their best ranking in program history. They picked up a commanding win over Hunter Dickinson and Kansas on Wednesday night, too, and pushed their win streak to 12 — which was the best in the country.

But on Saturday, that all came to an end.

West Virginia, thanks to 12 points from Javon Small in the final two minutes of the game, stunned Iowa State in Morgantown and picked up a 64-57 upset win. Iowa State had 14 turnovers as a group, went 1-of-17 from the 3-point line and shot just seven free throws the entire game. The …
