CHICAGO BEARS have announced they have conducted an interview with Eddie George about their vacant head coach candidacy.
The Bears sacked Matt Eberflus in late November following a sixth straight defeat in the NFL and came dead last in the NFC North Conference with just five wins all season.
The head coach search has seen them look at free agent Mike McCarthy after his contract with the Dallas Cowboys ended last week.
But in a fresh twist, the Bears announced on social media they had concluded an interview with retired NFL star George.
