In an effort to boost growth, the UK government plans to “unleash AI” and has invested £225 million (~US $275 million) in building Isambard-AI, the fastest supercomputer in the UK. The supercomputer will leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to find new drugs and vaccines and has already hit the ground running, a BBC report said.
AI intelligence has been the buzzword for most of the last year, and tech companies, big and small, are leveraging this technology to improve their offerings. While most of the news has come from the US and China, the UK has previously adopted a cautious approach to using this technology.
