Wausau Fire Department gets new CPR technology [Video]

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The Wausau Fire Department is adopting cutting-edge technology that could make a life-saving difference in emergencies.

The department is adding mechanical CPR devices designed to assist first responders in maintaining the ideal compression depth and speed during resuscitation.

The department’s EMS Division Chief Jared Thompson said in a press release the new devices will improve survival odds for patients but also ensure paramedics can “deliver the best possible care when every second counts.”
