NATIONAL CITY, Calif. — Jose Fimbres starts his day at 4 a.m., climbing into his sedan to make DoorDash deliveries across this South Bay community. At 73, he moves a bit slower these days, but his determination hasn’t wavered.
“I gotta do something to keep moving,” Fimbres said. “If I didn’t do it, I want to be sitting in a wheelchair.”
