Ky. Ag. Commissioner speaks with farmers in Owensboro [Video]

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Kentucky commissioner of Agriculture made a stop in Owensboro to speak to members of the Cattlemen’s Association.

Several farmers from across the state came to the event.

Farmers had the chance to connect with the commissioner, check out some new equipment, and discuss the latest in farming strategies.

President of the Kentucky cattlemen’s association, Randy Kwarner, says it’s important for farmers to take the time off work to get together.

“They come here for the main reason, they want to talk to people, they want to see what’s going on,” said Kwarner. “Some people might not see friendships you’ve through half the year this is the only time they I’ll come together and I mean people really enjoy that it’s rather to me. It’s a joy the watch them do that.”

Thursday’s event was apart of a series of stops for the Agriculture Commissioner.
