NAVCO is coming to Sioux Falls for Navy Week [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Sioux Falls was included in the list of 15 locations the Navy Office of Community Outreach will be visiting for Navy Week, 2025.

Navy Week will come to Sioux Falls from Monday, August 4, to Sunday, August 10, 2025.

“Since most of our Navy’s assets and personnel are strategically located on the coasts, NAVCO’s outreach efforts reach Americans in cities without a high naval presence. During Navy Weeks, Americans will learn firsthand from exemplary Sailors what the Navy is like and how their Navy has promoted prosperity and security, deterred aggression and protected the American way of life for the past 250 years,” said NAVCO Director Cmdr. Julie Holland.

During a Navy Week, Sailors interact directly with the public through non-profit volunteering, school visits, and performances by the Navy Band and Navy Ceremonial Guard.
