Spokane native unveils official portrait of Governor Inslee [Video]

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s official portrait was unveiled and hung in the state capitol building during his final day in office.

The portrait was painted by Grace Flott, a Spokane native who now works as a painter and arts educator in Seattle. 

Flott was selected to paint the portrait following a competitive nationwide search by ArtsWA.

According to a press release from the Office of the Governor in November 2024, Flott seeks to use her art to create a sense of belonging and safety for all people
