Community Service Council discusses contacting local media [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The Community Service Council of The Mid-Ohio Valley is a group of non-profits and other organizations in the area who come together and learn about the different services available.

Sarah Barton, the chairperson of the Community Service Council, said it can also a networking opportunity.

“The Community Service Council is an organization that meets together to help share the services that are provided by nonprofits and businesses in the Mid-Ohio Valley,” Barton said. “We offer opportunities related to networking and help organizations know what services are available so that they can be referrals, or that they can use those services.”

For this meeting, the guests from the organizations had the opportunity to discuss with 4 local media professionals on what is the best way to reach out to post an event or a story.
