OACAC hosts 5th annual Missouri Mac & Cheese Fest [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3)—Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation, or OACAC, held its 5th annual MO Mac & Cheese Fest on Saturday. The fundraising event featured tastings, live music, and games.

Attendees went from table to table, sampling different mac and cheeses submitted by competitors before voting on their favorite.

Lindsey Dumas-Bell, OACAC’s resource development manager, says the event will help the organization continue assisting low-income families with affordable housing, utilities, and home weatherization.

“Proceeds support poverty relief in Southwest Missouri [through] Ozarks area Community Action Corporation, or OACAC, a nonprofit that focuses on helping people move from poverty to self-sufficiency.”
