The closure will begin Friday afternoon, the city said.
TOLEDO, Ohio — A downtown Toledo bridge will experience a temporary closure Friday, according to the city.
In a press release, the city said it would be closing the MLK Bridge for approximately three hours on Friday. The closure is being conducted to accommodate the entry of a vessel entering and exiting the Maumee River.
Though short bridge closures are common when ships enter the river, this closure will last longer, the city said, due to the amount of time it will take to move the construction equipment currently on the bridge.
The city said the closure will begin Friday afternoon. It is estimated to begin around 2 p.m., an engineering technician with the city told WTOL 11.
