Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says it’s busy preparing Richmond area roads for another round of winter weather.
Meteorologists say snow is likely Friday night into early Saturday.
“Crews have been busy making brine and pre-treating roadways,” VDOT said in a social media post.
The department reminded drivers to be alert for its mobile road treatment crews and to give trucks space to work safely.
Stormtracker8 meteorologists say light to moderate snow will begin between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday and continue into Saturday morning, before ending sometime between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday.
Snowfall accumulations are forecast to be around 1 to 4 inches across most of Central Virginia, with some mixed precipitation at times in Southern Virginia.
