Sioux City Schools expel three students on Wednesday [Video]

SIOUX CITY — The Sioux City School Board voted to expel three students on Wednesday.

The board held three separate closed sessions for the students, identified only as Students A, B and C.

Behind closed doors, board members discussed each student’s case before voting to approve the superintendent’s recommendation of expulsion.

The board voted unanimously to expel each of the students for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. 

Student A was expelled from East High and all other Sioux City CSD high schools for remainder of the school year due to “violation of the rules and regulations of the school district, disobeys classroom rules, or engages in disorderly conduct or fighting.”

Student B was expelled from North Middle and all other Sioux City middle schools for “violation of the rules and regulations of the school district, disobeys classroom rules, or engages in disorderly conduct or fighting.”
