160 years for the YMCA of Greater Toledo [Video]

Since 1865, YMCA of Greater Toledo has served individuals and families of all backgrounds in the area.

TOLEDO, Ohio — For all of 2025, the YMCA of Greater Toledo plans to celebrate its 160th anniversary of serving the community.

For over a century and a half, the organization has provided programs and services to people of all ages and backgrounds. According to a press release by the YMCA, “this milestone reflects a legacy of service, resilience, and unwavering commitment to empowering individuals, nurturing potential, and creating lasting change”.

President & Chief Executive Officer, Brad Toft said “This celebration is not just about our history—it’s about the people and the communities that make us who we are today”.

In the yearlong celebration, the YMCA invites all community members to join.
