MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Dr. Howard Rubenstein, Mayor of Saraland, and Jessica Allen, 2025 Krewe of Sparta President joined Chelsey on Studio10 to talk about Mardi Gras events happening in Saraland. The Krewe of Sparta 2nd Annual tree lighting will take place on Saturday, January 11th at 5:30 p.m. at Saraland Town Center Park & Splash Pad.
The Mardi Gras parade and ball is set for March 1, 2025.
ABOUT Krewe of Sparta
Saraland never had a mystic society or Mardi Gras parade that anyone can seem to remember. So when one person posed the possibility on social media, response was swift and positive.
Suddenly the person who proposed the idea became the founder and president of the Saraland Mardi Gras Society in 2018, and that spawned the Krewe of Sparta, a co-ed mystic society.
