The View Expands To The Weekend With Slot On ABC News Live Featuring The Shows Friday Panel [Video]

According to an ABC press release issued on Wednesday (Jan. 8), the daytime talk show’s Friday panel — which consists of moderator Joy Behar and co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Sara Haines — will host a 30-minute weekend program, appropriately titled The Weekend View. Whoopi Goldberg will spend the weekend relaxing, we can only assume.

The new show, which like its predecessor “will focus on the biggest stories in entertainment and the buzziest news topping social media feeds,” launches this Saturday (Jan. 11) at 7:30 a.m. ET on the network’s 24/7 streaming platform, ABC News Live. The show will also re-air over the course of the weekend.

The Weekend View, which is produced by The View, is executive produced by EP Brian Teta, while Robin Hommel will serve as executive broadcast producer and Sarah de la O will direct. …
