MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Middletown High School is set to benefit from a $4,950 grant from the Toshiba America Foundation, the school district announced on Wednesday.
The funds will enhance the high school’s Veterinary Science courses that are offered as part of a collaboration with the Middlesex Community College Veterinary Technology program.
The Toshiba America Foundation is a nonprofit grant-making organization that is dedicated to helping classroom teachers make STEM learning fun and successful for kindergarten to 12th grade students.
The funding will allow the school district to purchase two animal mannequins that will be used in the high school for training in veterinary emergency room scenarios. Middletown Agriculture Science students in Grades 11 and 12 can enroll in the College Career Pathways in Veterinary Technology.
