Ice, snow, and slush are covering many roads in Northwest Arkansas.That includes Interstate 49 north of Elm Springs, which was full of slush.Roads elsewhere in Benton and Carroll counties have been seeing snow. ARDOT’s map shows the current conditions.The Arkansas Department of Transportation prepared the roads ahead of the weather.Crews dropped salt brine onto the roads in Carroll, Boone, Marion, Baxter, and other counties Sunday morning.Because of the rain early Sunday morning, crews weren’t able to pre-treat the roads in Benton County without it washing away.
