Pickens Co. implementing automated traffic lights to enhance safety [Video]

PICKENS, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Pickens County Roads and Bridges is implementing automated traffic control systems.

According to the county, the systems will enhance safety, improve traffic flow and reduce delays during roadwork projects within the county.

Officials said these systems are designed to minimize human risk by reducing the need for flaggers in dangerous zones, streamline traffic management for safer commutes and boost efficiency in our road improvement efforts.
