OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The worlds of boxing and karate will collide North Omaha early next year through an exchange by the Omaha Sister Cities Association.
In March, they’re bringing a group of karate students over from Shizuoka, Japan to teach and learn from students at B & B Sports Academy, owned by boxing champion Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford.
After the cross-training session on March 23, the community will be welcome to see what all the kids learned in an open demonstration at the Butler Gast YMCA on March 23.
One of B & B’s trainers says he’s excited that the kids can be exposed to something new and different.
Omaha Sister Cities Association is looking for sponsors for the exchange. They can be contacted through their website.
