Knox County said 16 schools received a “C,” 17 schools received a “D” and 6 schools received an “F.”

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Education released school-specific “A” through “F” letter grades for public schools across the state on Thursday, following legislation passed in 2016 requiring the letter-grading system.

Knox County Schools reported that 52% of its 81 graded schools received As or Bs. Eighteen schools received an “A,” 24 schools received a “B,” 16 schools received a “C,” 17 schools received a “D” and 6 schools received an “F.”
