Momentum is building behind an effort to recall Jackson County Executive Frank White as debates over how to allocate $70 million in COVID relief funds intensified the past month.A recall campaign is gaining traction, with growing numbers of signatures and financial backing. Businesses across Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, Independence, and other areas are collecting signatures. Organizers aim to gather 50,000 signatures by mid-January to place the recall on the April ballot.Adding to the campaign’s visibility, Jackson County Legislator Sean Smith joined the effort Wednesday by signing the petition.
